Les trois gibbons et la chanson du colibri

As the three gibbons Ibbon, Nibbon and Sabbon take a stroll, a gust of gale lands a tiny hummingbird in front of them. The little birdie is lost, having been blown by the wind away from her parents beyond the seas. The three gibbons decide to help her and go on a voyage from island to island, in search of the humminbird family. Sadly, nobody knows her wherever they go and the three gibbons soon realise that they are lost too. Tired out, they take a break and the hummingbird whistles them a lullaby. As he passes by the boat, another bird overhears this lovely tune, learns it, and whistles it in turn. From bird to bird, the lullaby goes around...

Un jour qu'Ibbon, Nibbon et Sabbon, les Trois Gibbons, se promènent, un brusque coup de vent souffle et dépose un tout petit colibri devant eux. L'oiselle est perdue, le vent l'a ballotée loin de sa maison, au-delà des mers. Les Trois Gibbons décident de l'aider et partent en bateau, d'île en île, pour retrouver sa famille. Mais là où ils passent, personne ne la connaît, et les Gibbons sont bientôt perdus eux aussi. Fatigués, ils font une pause tandis que le colibri leur chante une berceuse. D'oiseau en oiseau, la chanson se propage bientôt...
Dans ce troisième livre consacré aux souples et attachants gibbons, l'auteur met l'accent sur l'entraide et les réseaux, comment les grands aident les petits et comment, parfois, ce sont les plus petits qui aident les plus gros.
