Since childhood, Inga and Ivy have dared each other to venture into the Forest. The Forest is born from their imaginations fueled by their grandmother’s tales and their own additions. One day, when Inga encourages her young sister to cross the threshold, something begins to grow within Ivy. A small seed from the Forest, an element of nature that seeps into her thoughts. Gradually, Ivy steps away from Inga’s path and embarks on a journey by herself, near the Forest. Then one morning, Ivy steps in. Everything is changed forever.
In this new picture book, drawn in charcoal and watercolor, Gaya Wisniewski beautifully explores the bond between two sisters with distinctly different natures and dreams.

Un livre de Gaya Wisniewski.
Depuis toutes petites, Inga et Ivy se défient d’entrer dans la Forêt. Celle-ci brasse tout un imaginaire, nourri par les histoires de leur grand-mère. Un jour, alors qu’Inga pousse sa petite sœur à franchir la lisière, quelque chose essaime en Ivy. Une petite graine de la Forêt, un peu de nature va grandir dans son esprit. Petit à petit, Ivy se détache des pas d’Inga et commence à s’aventurer seule, près de la Forêt, jusqu’à, un matin, franchir l’orée. Dès lors, plus rien ne sera comme avant.
Dans ce nouvel album mêlant fusain et couleurs, Gaya Wisniewski raconte avec poésie la relation de deux sœurs aux caractères et aux envies bien différentes.
